The Book
As the title suggests, my book takes a subject that is often made very complicated and simplifies the process for students who may be struggling. In it, I break down the steps of essay writing into a formula, which is both easy and fun to follow. Included are handouts, loads of examples and definitions, and even a completed essay for added clarity. Whether your child is more of a math kid or is very creatively inclined, know that I’ve taught my formula to students from all walks of life.

Video Course
Based on my book, this course takes you through the formula in its entirety. Some students find the use of visual aids to be especially helpful, and this course is designed just for them! There is over an hour of content (three videos in total) plus helpful handouts and a completed essay. All have been created for strengthening any student’s understanding of what it is to write an amazing literary analysis. You’ll find that this course is perfect for middle and high school students alike.

Essay Review
This is a great and affordable option for all students – from beginner to advanced – who just want a quick once-over of their work to check that their analysis is well-argued. I will provide detailed notes on the author’s triumphs and missteps regarding his/her/their thesis, spelling, grammar, and cohesion. Importantly, I report on all students’ successes, so they are aware of their strengths. Keep in mind, while suggestions will be made, this service does not include a rewrite, but rather, a comprehensive critique for the purpose of the essay’s (and essayist’s) improvement.

Personal Consultation
My consultations aren’t merely discussions, but rather thorough written and verbal critiques that won’t break the bank. Prior to our online Zoom meetings, clients send in their work. I then write comprehensive notes regarding editing and proofreading before sending them back. As such, during our time slots, I already have a strong sense of what we need to be focusing on, so no time is wasted. I find consultations typically last an hour, but if two hours are needed, there is no additional cost. The most valuable aspect of these consultations is that during these meetings, I offer a wealth of knowledge and advice, so all clients know much more about effective writing than they did before. Know that while both my book and online course are geared toward middle school students, consultations are open to all, including high school students, academics, and professionals.
